Top cocktails by season from Gourmet Galley Catering!
Your ceremony is over. You are now a MARRIED couple. Let the fun begin! Cocktail hour starts and everyone hits the bar. It’s packed. What better way to take care of these lines than with some passed signature cocktails?
We love encouraging brides and grooms to share a favorite drink with their guests. Not only does it add a personal touch, but often times, adds a SPLASH of color, to coordinate with the existing theme.
So, a few of our favorites…by season. Starting with Fall!
Fall
Spiked Apple Cider
Warm apple cider is a classic during the Fall months – and spiked, even better! Here are a few options to pair with this tasty beverage:
Spiced Rum
Caramel Vodka
Spice Box Whiskey
Winter
Spiced Mulled Wine
750ml red wine
2/3 cup castor sugar
1/2 cup orange juice
peel of one lemon
peel of one orange
1 star anise
1 cinnamon stick
5 cloves
1 tsp fresh nutmeg
pinch of ginger
Heat all ingredients {except the wine} for about 4-5 minutes, then add the wine and turn down the heat, for 5 minutes. Serve with hot slices of orange.
Spring
Cucumber and White Cranberry Martini
1 ½ ounces cucumber vodka
1 ½ ounces white cranberry and white grape juice
¼ ounce simple syrup
¼ ounce lime juice
Summer
The Georgia Peach
2 oz Jim Beam bourbon
1 oz unsweetened lemonade
1/2 oz simple sugar
3/4 oz peach puree
ice
Garnish with peach
