Real Weddings: Shawn & Antonieta’s Eco-Friendly Wedding at Mount Hope Farm
She’s from Ecuador and he’s from the South, but despite being worlds apart their love for travel eventually united them. Today, we have received the fantastic opportunity to share this spectacular couple’s wedding day with you. After exploring the globe together, these two decided to settle down , luckily for us, the place they chose happened to be right here in Rhode Island. Once you lay eyes on the stunning photos captured by Nelly – Photographer, you’ll see just why we are completely head over hills with this entire soiree!
Drawing on their different cultural backgrounds and their mutual love for travel and all things eco-friendly, their day totally reflects their personality as a couple from beginning to end, and the details are just amazing. For their “green” inspired day, Shawn and Antonieta chose the beautiful Mount Hope Farm, a local non-profit farm dedicated to land conservation, as the site of their outdoor fête. From there, they tracked down wedding vendors who understood their vision of having a day that benefits the world around them.
By the time their day rolled around, they had the likes of Andria Bird Bride, who made her organic vegan silk wedding dress, More Than a Meal, who crafted a farm-fresh meal for their day, InviteSite, who provided the recycled paper invites and paper decor items, and more by their side. The results are unbelievably stunning. Further adding small, intimate touches that spoke to their personality, the happy couple incorporated fun games into their day that gave nod to their roots. For her, they set up a festive, candy-filled piñata and for him they broke out a southern classic — cornhole. Take these unique details and add in the company of amazing friends and family and you’ve got the makings of a one-of-a-kind wedding day; and that it certainly was! Truly, a beautiful wedding for a remarkable couple!
