Real Weddings: Jessica & Chris’s Green, Navy, & Nautical Wedding at The Squantum Association
Between the amazing coastal views and the fabulous vendor talent, Newport is definitely a place where nautical weddings are at their utmost pretty. To back up that claim, we didn’t have to search very hard for a prime example — we knew this stunner by Kristen Jane Photography was all the evidence we’d need! Join as we plunge into the gorgeous details from the day, and you’ll see exactly what we mean…
Jessica and Chris were married on a beautiful summer’s day in June. The duo exchange vows at Jessica’s church home, St. Joseph’s Parish in Woonsocket. Jessica, wearing an elegant lace gown and a classic up do styled by Fusion Hair Studio, was escorted down the aisle by her sweet dad. Reaching the end of the aisle, she joined the love of her life at the alter and they committed their lives to each other in holy matrimony with a traditional Catholic ceremony.
Following their vows, the newlyweds headed outside for portraits with their families and friends! Then, while their guests enjoyed cocktails at the reception, Jessica and Chris rode over to Rhode Island State House with Kristen Jane Photography for some romantic snapshots alone together. The results of which are stunning — just look at the grand backdrop the building’s stone columns and marble staircases makes!
The couple’s reception at The Squantum Association was a dreamy compilation of green, navy, and nautical elements. A welcome and guest book table greeted everyone as they entered the reception (we just adore their monogrammed guest book!) with a splash of vibrant decor and thanks from the bride and groom. Around the room, sophisticated white rose and mixed greens bouquets by Stobbart’s Nurseries topped the reception tables, the cake, and the dining room’s stone enclaves and fireplace mantle.
Thanks to the musical stylings of Cover to Cover Band, the awesome musical group chosen by Jessica and Chris, the reception was a hit from start to finish! But, we’re positive that the couple’s adorable personalities were what the guests enjoyed most. We didn’t even attend the celebration, but the bride and groom had us smiling all the way from their big entrance and darling first dance to their hilarious cake cutting!
