Real Wedding: Kristina & Chase’s Oceancliff Wedding!

After seeing this magnificent wedding at once again Oceancliff Hotel in Newport, it is safe to say that we here at NWGlam have fallen in love. For the bride Kristina, her wedding day was something she had dreamt about ever since she could remember. From a jaw dropping dress, a touch of sparkle wherever possible, to her perfect groom we think her dream came true. The pictures below done by Susan Sancomb Photography explain it all!

Where do we even begin? Lets start at the colorful floral and dress palette to the subtle black and white striped details like those amazing invitations by Judy Paulen Design of Bloomingdales. Then, Kristina’s fabulous feather gown from Pronovia’s New York to her gold sequined reception dress (to die for!) Those Kate Spade shoes dyed blue with the gold glitter heal to her outstanding necklace (also Kate Spade.) Or what about the dessert table done by Sweet Indulgence filled with confectionary cupcakes, comforting milk and cookies and of course a Rhode Island classic Del’s Lemonade. The bride and bridesmaid’s looked absolutely stunning with hair and makeup done by Jennie Kay Beauty. What is just as stunning? Those red tulip centerpieces and the colorful bouquets that beautifully accented the bridesmaid dresses by The Secret Garden. Our hats go off to Jaime Nelson of Eventfully Planned Events who perfectly planned Kristina and Chase’s special day with just the right amount of “love and sparkle.”

And now a quote from the bride: “I was born with glitter in my veins and ever since I could remember, I wanted my wedding day to be filled with lots of color, an amazing dress, a touch of sparkle and the perfect groom (of course!). My vision for creating a day of “love and sparkle” was the foundation for everything I did. I wanted my guests to leave our wedding and say “wow– that was fun!” and Chase (my handsome groom) and I feeling like we just threw the best party of our lives. So we surrounded ourselves by the family that helped shape us, the friends that make us smile every day and the vendors that could make all of our (err…really mostly my) crazy visions into a reality.

We both live and work in New York City, but Rhode Island is where we consider our home to be (Chase grew up in RI and I moved there in high school). Having our wedding elsewhere wasn’t really an option. We decided on the Oceancliff in Newport because it captured that old time Newport feel, but still had a beautiful ballroom right on the water. (it also was as close to Hammersmith Farm, Jackie Kennedy’s summer family estate, that I could get!).

My photographer, Susan Sancomb, and event planner, Jaime Nelson, made our wedding day an absolute dream (They are good friends and together they are a dynamic duo! They compliment each other so well and should be hired as a tag team!). Jennie Kay Murphy made me and my bridal party feel so glamorous and beautiful and David Urban from the Secret Garden filled our venue with the most beautiful, non-smelly flowers (lots of tulips!) one could find in November (combined, Chase and I are allergic to most of them!). Because of this amazing team, we worried about nothing. I left our wedding with a mouth sore from smiling and a heart heavy with love– making my dream of an evening of “love and sparkle” an incredible memory.”

Thank you so much for sharing your special day with us!
