Real Wedding: Samantha and Doug at The Kinney Bungalow

Everyday I drive by this certain building  on my way home. Every time I drive by it, I say to myself it would be a beautiful location for a wedding and I promise myself I will check it out some day. The building is The Kinney Bungalow in Narragansett, RI and I am happy to say I am not the only one who had this thought. Newlyweds, Doug and Samantha just so happened to have the same thought process as I did. Doug, who frequents surfing in Narragansett had driven by the building time after time and thought the same thing (smart man!) After saying yes to the bungalow which was a blank canvas for their day, Samantha and Doug were excited to incorporate everything they love into their special day. Jewel Photography was there to capture every little detail from the floral arrangements hand crafted by one of Samantha’s bridesmaids to everything orange, which is Samantha’s favorite color! Small personal details were present throughout the day like the couples 100th Anniversary of Fenway Park Coca Cola toasting bottles, as they are die hard Red Sox fans!

The catering was done by Decadent Catering and their delicious cake by Scrumptions in East Greenwich. The brides gorgeous dress was by Lazaro from Mariella Creations in Connecticut, as well as her bridesmaid dresses! Guests enjoyed entertainment by DJC Productions also in Connecticut.  The couple says their wedding day was truly the best day of their lives and were blessed to have all of their family and friends in the same room to share the evening with them! I am so happy someone else had the same thought about that beautiful building that I did!

A quote from the bride: “My husband and I were looking for a non traditional wedding venue because we didn’t want a wedding like everybody else; we wanted our wedding to feel just like us.  One of my husband’s favorite surf spots is out in Narragansett, and he drove by the venue several times and always loved the building, but never knew what it was.  When we did the research and found out you could get married there, we instantly knew the Kinney Bungalow was the place for our special day.  The bungalow was a blank canvas that really allowed us to make every last detail our own; it allowed us to incorporate everything we love in life and about each other into our wedding.  Everything ended up following a tree theme, which we found so fitting as this was the day we would start our own family tree.  On the day itself, everything came out better than we had ever dreamed it could.  Everything had been handcrafted with care and decorated by us, and our guests loved seeing our touches everywhere they looked.  We felt extremely lucky and blessed to have everyone we love in the same room, enjoying each others company and celebrating our love.  There was such an incredibly happy and loving energy radiating from all our guests; we are so thankful to our photographer for capturing this energy, as well as all the details that speak to who my husband and I really are.  She captured all the love and happiness this day had, and will bring us for the rest of our lives.  It truly was the best day of our lives!”

XOXO-Samantha
