Real Wedding: Lindsay & Andrew
Hello pretties! Do we have a special treat for YOU on this Monday after Thanksgiving. Lindsay and Andrew were married on a lovely summer evening overlooking the breathtaking Narragansett Bay on the pristine grounds of the OceanCliff Hotel in Newport, RI.
For all you history buffs out there, OceanCliff Resort, according to their Website, was designed and built in 1864 and was used by a wealthy industrialist and member of Mrs. Astor’s 400 Club as a private summer residence during the Gilded Age. The estate remained a private summer home until 1954, when it was sold and later converted into an oceanfront retreat to host lavish parties and society affairs. It sits on 10-acres of rolling hills and boasts spectacular ocean views.
We were simply smitten with the unique choice of sea foam green for the bridesmaid’s dresses and thought that the pinks, whites and greens sprinkled throughout the ceremony and reception sites were just perfection! In the bride’s own words:
“I walked into the venue and everything was beyond what I had imagined. The scenery was breathtaking and all the details were put together perfectly. We could not have been more pleased with the colors, personal touches, and overall vision of our day. It was a perfect day from the person to the place and we wish we could recreate that summer night. The setting was truly one of a kind.”
Always a hit with guests of all ages, the candy bar provided a great opportunity to infuse the reception space with even more color and it also made for some scrumptious gift bags. Other handmade touches we just LOVED were the cocktail hour centerpieces and starfish décor.
If we were to be honest, though, our favorite aspect of this spectacular celebration is the gorgeous, glowing bride who’s expressions of pure joy were captured by Kara Pearson Photography.
We wish you both the best and thank you for sharing your special day with us!
