If you are meeting with a potential wedding photographer, but you simultaneously have a wedding cake tasting and shoe fittings on your mind, something is bound to slip. You might overlook an important point, and you might be forced to handle a crisis on the day.

To help you avoid that, here are the 11 most important questions to ask your potential photographer:

Will you be the one shooting the wedding?

Sometimes, the person you meet is not the person who will actually be there on the day. If another photographer is lined up to do your shoot, make sure you get a chance to meet them in person as well. To capture the essence of your special day and get the best shots, it’s very important to click with your wedding photographer.

Will you be working on other weddings on the same day?

Some photographers book more than one wedding on the same day and have their assistants take over once they leave your venue. If this is the case, again, make sure you meet everyone involved in your wedding photo shoots.

Have you ever shot our venue?

If a photographer has already worked with a venue, it will be much easier for them to know where the best lighting and angles are. But if not, they may need some time to prep. 1. Group Caricature

Getting all your guys together in a group caricature will be sure to be a hit as your groomsmen gift.  You can pick an activity that all the guys do together, drinking a beer is often a commonality that groomsmen share!  The best part is you can do this all online and the cost is reasonable.  Just email in pics of all the guys in your wedding party and within a couple weeks your have your caricature emailed back to you.  With a group caricature, you’ll have your groomsmen wondering how you pulled it off.  You can get them on this website for around $30 per person.

As most big days, this one began with Ashley getting ready in her suite. Apothecary Newport Beauty Boutique was there to help our already gorgeous bride enhance her natural features, and as she donned her stunning, strapless fit-and-flare Amsale gown, we knew Nick’s breath would be taken away. While Ashley was clearly the day’s star, we must say the stunning blue bridesmaid dresses from LulaKate and beautiful hydrangea and rose bouquets from Stoneblossom Floral & Event Design were perfect compliments. Meanwhile Nick, much like Ashley, also began the wedding day getting ready with his groomsmen, each looking more dapper than the last. Classic black suits never go out of style, after all.

Come time to head to the church, each member of the wedding party looked as if they had stepped straight out of a perfect wedding Pinterest board. The gorgeous chapel where the two were wed maintained an air of old world elegance and had a sense of classic tradition that we can’t overlook. The romance was practically pouring from the gorgeous pair. While we do love classics, that Viking Tours trolley was a perfectly quirky, fun way to depart such a stunning ceremony.

Following their vow exchange, the pair took a moment to take advantage of the stunning grounds of Rosecliff Mansion. With fog rolling in and an outrageously beautiful venue in the background, the images are nothing short of stunning, as if they were straight out of a fairy tale.

As for the reception, Exquisite Events Design truly outdid themselves. If you wanted elegant glamour that somehow manages to still be subtle, you’d have it at Ashley and Nick’s wedding. With a stunning cream and gold palette with blue accents, the mansion looked like a complete dream. The night, however, didn’t have to be all elegance and glamour, though. Thanks to the band Skin Tight, Ashley and Nick were able to cut a rug before the end of the big night. Thankfully, Phillip Krauss was there to capture each moment on film.

Each detail of Ashley and Nick’s gorgeous Newport wedding at Rosecliff Mansion was perfectly pulled together, romantic, and elegant. We are so happy that Dana Siles Photography shared her stunning work with us and that we could inspire even the smallest part of your big day.

Like most big days, Laura and Bruce’s wedding began with the stunning bride getting ready in her suite. With her beautiful blond locks swept back in an elegant updo and her natural beauty emphasized perfectly, Laura looked stunning as she donned her veil and stepped into her gown. The strapless, lace, fit-and-flare creation was a true stunner that was only made more beautiful by Laura herself. One of our favorites moments, though, was Laura and Bruce’s first look. With Bruce looking dapper in his classic black tuxedo, Laura approached him, every bit the stunning bride we’re sure he expected.

Come vow time, the pair made their way to their classic church ceremony. The traditional setting truly added the elegant, classic feeling that we love so much. From Laura and Bruce standing, facing one another, at the top of the aisle to the sweet sealed with a kiss vows, to their smiling faces as they exited the church, everything about the ceremony screamed perfection.

It was the reception, however, that truly caught our eye. Oceancliff provided the perfect, romantic, and very Rhode Island venue for their big day. Broadway Florist truly made the space come to life with stunning white hydrangeas, pink rose spray, and red hypericum berry arrangements. With beautiful ivory linens and golden details, it was sheer sophistication. While the big day was full of elegant, lovely touches, don’t think that prevented our couple from having an amazing time. The pair look positively blissful as they danced the evening away, celebrating their marriage.

Before the evening was over, though, the pair took full advantage of Oceancliff’s beautiful grounds to capture stunning images. With the ground lit for the holiday season, it was the perfect romantic cap to Laura and Bruce’s wedding day.
