If you are having your wedding in Newport, if its in the summer and by the beach, why not take it a step further with an underwater wedding? An under the sea theme sounds unusual, but they actually come together spectacularly. For night time weddings especially, the moonlight does wonders to create a mystical underwater glow. Some couples even had their events in aquariums which resulted in sparkling pictures. There can’t be anything as entrancing as dancing through a colorful illusion of the sea. Undoubtedly a challenging venture, but the results are unforgettable.

When it comes to your wedding colors, there are only so many places you can use them without going overboard. Bridesmaid’s dresses, floral arrangements and linens to name a few, but what about your steam wear? You don’t often see steam wear a different color at weddings now do you? I happen to think it is a perfect place to add just the right amount of your terrific turquoise or glamorous gold. Don’t you? If you are the DIY gal, why not even do it yourself?….Now, I’ve got you really thinking!

Maybe this is a bad idea. Maybe it will make your jitters even worse. BUT, everybody needs their morning coffee, and THIS is a very important morning. I think the coffees with “maid of honor” or “groom” sharpied on the side are just adorable. Plus, every moment of this day should be fun, even getting ready with your best friends beforehand. Let Starbucks know its a special day, and sip up that caffeine because today is going to be one long party.

So, when looking for ideas why not consider wood? It’a sturdy, decorative and can be used for a multitude of things from place cards to centerpieces. It can give your wedding a natural, organic and down to earth feeling. I have seen wood used in many different ways and I happen to think it is the perfect wedding day accessory!

Are you and your man both movie people? Is that your thing? Well, I have heard movie theater themed weddings are fantastic. Not to mention, original. I’m not talking Scary-Movie-4-sticky-floors-$8-popcorn theater. I’m thinking antique theater- classy and romantic. Sometimes, old cinemas are even willing to rent out their venue for weddings. Appetizer hour by the ticket booth with original popcorn machines, candy and drinks. Dinner inside the theater in the shadow of the grand old screen that once played Gone With the Wind or Snow White. Tell everyone to dress like they’re attending a premiere and let your love be theatrical. ♥Emily

One of 2013′s growing trends is the blush wedding gown. I am not one to make decisions based on trends, but I really do love this one. Gowns dusted blush feel romantic and feminine. I think the color warms everyone up too, no matter their skin tone. In 2011, one of my favorite hollywood ladies, Reese Witherspoon, wore a blush gown for her own wedding. It set her apart and was called an elegant, classy decision. Perhaps you’ll consider this gown choice for your own wedding. ♥Emily
